exams are overrated..

yes the exXams are over.. hope they go well, most of it doesn't seem too bad.. oh hell, wateva.. i hate talkin abt exams.. the supposed joy and relief ur supposed to get from finishing exams, i think it's over-rated... i dun feel any different from before i took it.. but after so many nights of mugging, i can't sit still without having this feeling like i'm not doing something, mugging.. haha..

going back this coming wed.. i'm not too sure what i'm expecting from singapore.. of cos humidity and crowd and fast paced is very well understood.. been kinda letting the brain shut down since exams ended.. feel too tired.. too tired to even think, lack the energy to explain and argue my point of view..

went for the last bbq at matilda bay today.. and sorry i brought the camera but forgot to take photos.. i feel.. so lazy.. les has been making me sleep early and letting me sleep in late, but i've been getting weird dreams and i got a nightmare last night.. maybe i should stop watching thrillers and horror flicks.. hmmmm..

after bbq met up with his cousins for drinks and dinner, *totally stuffed and bloated*, they're coming to singapore in abt 2-3 weeks time i think.. one of the cousins in singapore is getting married.. they say when they come, we've got to bring them clubbing. lolz.. i think the list includes zouk, mos and cafe del mar if it's open by then..

does this sound like me? =P

Getting to know yourself better

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:
You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.

How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

The Real You

Here is the analysis:

1. You are a very serious person. You tend to be quiet and well behaved, and you don't have a great deal of self-confidence. You prefer to be alone rather than with friends and that could make you a little less interesting to certain types of guys. You are very attractive in an individual kind of way, and this means it can take people a little while to get to like you.

2. You really care about other people's feelings and are quite serious about the issues that affect your life. You are sincere, and your concern for the well-being of others makes many people want to be your friend.

3. You strictly follow rules, and you expect other people to be the same as well. People can get tired of you easily, as you can make them feel a little guilty about themselves. You always make decisions on your own, and can be dismissive of other people's advice. You like to be the leader in groups, but can forget to be concerned about the people you are with.

4. Your peers think of you as a fun person, but sometimes you can be a little irresponsible. You can be somewhat childish, and can try to ignore the fact that you will one day need to really grow up and be a mature adult! Perhaps you could start reading good books; they might help you look at the world in a different light. You do want to be taken seriously, right?
Your boyfriend believes that you are a strong and independent person.

5. Your confidence and cheerfulness make you an attractive person to be around, but sometimes you need to pay more attention to what other people, including your boyfriend, are thinking.

Personality Analysis: Kind and Gentle

Your kindness is your charm - you are also gentle and sweet. Everybody likes to be around people with your personality. Like a psychologist, people like to talk to you to discuss their problems because you are proper and discrete, as well as confident. You look mature and people respect you. People with this kind of character are few and far between.

Friendship Analysis:
You value your friendships quite a lot but you don't like to show your feelings to others. You would rather keep your feelings to yourself than share them with your friends. You might get a pleasant surprise if you are more open about caring for people - they will probably let you know that you're special to them, too.

Hidden Talent:
The Mass Communicator
You have a cheerful personality and you are a naturally kind person. Your hidden talent isn't really that hidden at all: you shine among a crowd. You would make an ideal news announcer, flight attendant or model - any position that would give you an opportunity to deal with plenty of people. A tip for you is to avoid getting too deeply involved in others' personal lives - otherwise you might find yourself constantly being asked for help.

food for thought..

The Mayonnaise Jar and Coffee

When things in life seem almost too much to handle,
when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the
mayonnaise jar...and the coffee...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had
some items in front of him. When the class began,
wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty
mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf
balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and
poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the
golf balls. He then asked the students again if the
jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured
it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up
everything else. He asked once more if the jar was
full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from
under the table and poured the entire contents into
the jar, effectively filling the empty space between
the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "
I want you to recognise that this jar represents your
life.

The golf balls are the important things - your God,
family, your children, your health, your friends and
your favourite passions - things that if everything
else was lost and only they remained, your life would
still be fulled.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your
job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything
else - the small stuff.

" If you put the sand into the jar first," he
continued, " there is no room for the pebbles or the
golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spent all your time and energy on the small
stuff, you will never have room for the things that
are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your
happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get
medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner.
Play another 18.

There will be always be time to clean the house and
fix the disposal." Take care of the golf balls first,
the things that really matter. Set your priorities.
The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what
the coffee represented. The professor smiled.

" I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show that no
matter how full your life may seem, there's always
room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

- + = C a r e n e = + -

"Worrying is like a rocking chair;
it gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere."

what if..

okay basically we've arrived at the conclusion that honours is indeed immensely more viable than the grad dip.. but what if i eliminate grad dip and throw in masters of commerce into the equation? haha.. spoke to my profs, and they suggested i consider master of commerce..

yes i agree it sounds more impressive since it's very obviously a category up from bachelor.. but like grad dip, as long as u hav a bachelor u can do masters of commerce, it's not like mba where working experience is required.. talkin abt mba, i intend to do mba in the next 10 years.. so i feel silly if i was to do two masters.. plus masters when compared to honours, will cost me an extra semester..

so yes from my ranting, you can pretty much tell i'm inclined towards the honours for its exclusivity etc.. ain't life a bitch.. but what if, just what if, the masters wld hav done me greater good? i mean there has to be good for the profs to recommend it but they won't explain due to "won't make an unequivocal judgement for you, you have to make ur own decision and be responsible for it".. sighz...

all the what ifs in the world is exactly which stands in the way of great plans.. or sometimes just salvages the sucky plan...

and yes i noe the song has no relevance to the above discussion. lolz..

but what if is a big topic.. i had meant to search for babyface's what if on utube, well i couldn't find that one so we've got this one.. lol.. but do u noe HOW MANY songs and vids i generated from that one search?? too many..

so often peeps look back and ask themselves what if i had done this, what if i had not done it.. what if what if what if.. i think the negative effects of what ifs could possibly outweigh the positive effects.. like thinking of what could have happened doesnt change what actually did happen... so why waste time, effort, brain cells and energy thinkin of the vast possibilities of could-bes when that time could hav been used to generate positive and constructive thoughts.. hmmm...

but.... what... .if.....
